The Initial Need

We are extremely fortunate that LinkedIn offers employees an unbelievable amount of great learning and development opportunities. However, as a large enterprise, sometimes we find that we’ve lost touch with some new ideas, or innovative ways in which other organizations are approaching things. So for us, the main idea behind joining Sales Assembly was to get involved in the community, and have a chance to learn with and from others in the space. Get out of our “echo-chamber” if you will.

How Sales Assembly is Being Used

Sales Assembly has brought SO MUCH MORE to the table than we ever expected – which is why we’ve been members now for 6 years! We continue to find great opportunities to leverage Sales Assembly, in order to supplement and support our own internal training & enablement efforts.

For example, the education paths are a great way to reinforce and supplement LinkedIn’s internal training and education. The peer groups offer easy access to others in the ecosystem so that our folks can expand their networks and learn from other organizations. and the certifications give our managers great reasons to recognize and acknowledge their reps for a job well done in terms of taking ownership over their career development.

Overall Sentiment

On a personal level, Sales Assembly has broadened my network, challenged my thinking and up-leveled my skillset as both a seller and a people leader – and I know the feeling is shared by many others here at LinkedIn as well.

The programs are quality driven, and the education is always built with the end user in mind. As a team, Sales Assembly’s focus on support and proactive willingness to help is world class. As a result, I take deep pride in being a part of their community.”
