How We Started
In the early part of this century, the landscape in Tech/SaaS experienced a massive revolution, and as a result, many fantastic services became available to support companies as they grew. Ironically though, proper support & resources for the sales & revenue functions were consistently overlooked. So in the spring of 2017, we set out to wrap our arms around the problem. We planned a handful of events in Chicago with the sole purpose of bringing together sales leaders from local tech companies. The idea was to provide a forum to connect, share ideas, and learn from each other. We also ran a couple of workshops focused on SDR and AE training.

After each event we did, the feedback was the same – “That was awesome! What’s next, and can I bring others from my company?” After this mini-experiment, we realized there was, in fact, a need…but one much larger than we had actually thought. As it turned out, not only did revenue leaders desire a community to call their own, but in addition, they wanted one single trusted resource to turn to in order to support the growth of their entire GTM organization.
And with that, Sales Assembly was born.
Where We’re Going
What started in 2017 as a simple community for companies in Chicago, has transformed into a resource for the very best B2B Tech companies across the industry, and we wake up every day with a passion to continue building the best membership experience possible.
And, we’re seriously just getting started. We’re pumped to be on this ride. Please join us, and the over 200 B2B tech companies who are members!

Inclusion Commitment
One of Our Core Values
Since the launch of Sales Assembly in 2017, our commitment towards diversity, equity, and inclusion has been rooted in our core values as an organization. To this end, we have multiple ways in which we work to move the needle – even ever so slightly – in this critical area.
Employee Resource Circles (ERCs)
The Sales Assembly Employee Resource Circles (ERCs) are places where those with similar backgrounds, lifestyles, and identifications can gather on a regular basis. Throughout the year, these events allow for individuals to have a safe and judgement free space to share their working experience in their tech revenue role, inspire one another, and of course strategize on revenue topics. Open to all titles and seniority levels, we have ERCs for Women (identify as she/her/hers), BIPOC, Parents, and LGBTQIA.

Total Voice
Ensuring diversity of thought, idea, experience, culture, race, gender, and background is at the forefront, and will continue to be at the forefront of who we invite to speak and facilitate at our various events, panels, and training sessions.
Equitable Development
We provide Women, Veteran, LBGTQIA, and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) employees from NON-MEMBER companies across the country with the opportunity to become certified in any of Sales Assembly’s Certification Programs – at no cost whatsoever to the employer or employee. More details including the enrollment form can be found here. And a huge thanks to our partners, Lessonly, Gong, and Sales Hacker for helping bring this initiative to life. We also provide current Sales Assembly members with additional seats to any of our certification programs, provided the individual meet diversity qualifications.
