Whatever methodology, Sales Assembly fits alongside it.
A methodology gives your team the right shared language, the right deal structure, the right way to inspect a forecast. That part’s done. What we add is the part almost no methodology covers: year-round skill development that gets a rep from knowing what a good deal looks like to actually running the call that produces one.
We’re not asking you to change anything. Keep the methodology. Keep the CRM fields, the stage gates, the deal reviews. What changes is that your reps get live, expert-led skill development every month, alongside peers at other growth-stage B2B SaaS companies solving the same problems.
Pick what your team runs today.
We’ll give you the honest read on what your framework already handles and where skill development is the missing piece.
Overview of MEDDPICC
MEDDPICC is the strongest deal-inspection language in B2B sales. It gives your team a shared vocabulary for what a real deal looks like, forces the questions most reps avoid — who signs, what process the paper follows, who loses if this happens — and makes forecast conversations honest. Teams that run it well genuinely slip fewer deals.
It’s a qualification framework, not a skills curriculum. It tells a rep that Metrics are missing; it doesn’t teach them how to run the call where a CFO hands over real numbers. It assumes the pipeline already exists, and it goes quiet the moment the contract is signed.
Where Sales Assembly comes in
Our Qualification and Value Articulation certifications teach the live conversations that fill in the letters. Prospecting and Pipeline Planning cover what happens before a deal is MEDDPICC-able at all. Negotiation teaches reps to trade instead of discount, and Strategic Account Management plus Expansion Selling pick up where the framework stops.

Overview of Challenger
Challenger is built on real research: in complex B2B sales, reps who teach a customer something new, tailor it to their business, and take control of the conversation outsell relationship-builders. That finding has held up for over a decade, and it’s why Challenger is still the default model at a lot of growth-stage companies.
It’s a behavior model, not a training system. It tells your team to “teach with commercial insight,” but it doesn’t build the insight library, and it doesn’t teach the composure “take control” actually requires. Most rollouts stall in the same two places — reps have nothing new to teach, and “take control” turns into pushiness the buyer shuts down.
Where Sales Assembly comes in
Positioning teaches reps to find and use real insight themselves, so teaching isn’t dependent on a marketing deck. Complex Selling is the live version of tailoring — status-quo-busting discovery instead of a scripted pitch. Objection Handling builds the confidence to hold tension without tipping into pressure, which is the exact skill Challenger assumes but never teaches.

Overview of Sandler
Sandler produces disciplined sellers. Up-front contracts, real pain instead of stated pain, no free consulting, and the willingness to walk — the posture still holds up, and reps who internalize it stop chasing prospects who were never going to buy.
It’s built for a one-to-one world. Sandler’s model assumes a skilled seller working one prospect toward mutual qualification. A modern growth-stage deal has six stakeholders, a procurement process, and a champion who has to sell internally without the rep in the room — none of which Sandler’s frame accounts for. It also says little about how the pipeline fills up in the first place.
Where Sales Assembly comes in
Complex Selling teaches the buying-group orchestration Sandler’s one-to-one posture doesn’t cover. Prospecting and Pipeline Planning keep enough volume at the top of funnel for Sandler’s qualification discipline to matter. Qualification reinforces the mutual-mismatch posture rather than competing with it — this is the one true addition, not a fix.

Overview of Command of the Message
Force Management’s model is rigorous, and the output is real: required capabilities, differentiated value, business outcomes tied to metrics. Companies that do the work end up with genuinely sharper messaging than competitors who skip it.
It’s a content system, not a delivery system. The message is right on the page and gone by the second live call. Reps can recite required capabilities in a workshop and can’t hold the same story together three weeks later, under pressure, in front of a skeptical VP.
Where Sales Assembly comes in
Value Articulation is almost exactly the delivery layer Command of the Message doesn’t build — storytelling, demo structure that doesn’t revert to a feature tour, and a differentiation narrative reps can hold together live. Positioning reinforces the same message earlier in the deal, at the point where it first has to land.

Overview of ValueSelling
ValueSelling moves reps off features and onto the business issue — problem, solution, value, power. It’s a clean frame, and teams that adopt it ask noticeably better early questions than teams that don’t.
It’s a framing model, not a quantification model. The frame holds until a CFO who wasn’t on any of the discovery calls asks how the number was actually built — and a value story that can’t survive that question gets discounted away in the last two weeks of the deal.
Where Sales Assembly comes in
Value Articulation teaches reps to build and defend a cost-of-inaction or ROI number that holds up under finance scrutiny, not just narrate it. Negotiation protects that number once procurement shows up asking for a cut. Positioning keeps the value story anchored to something the buyer actually said, not a generic template.

Overview of SPICED
SPICED — Situation, Pain, Impact, Critical Event, Decision — is Winning by Design’s qualification framework. It’s a sharper discovery structure than most, because Impact and Critical Event force a rep to quantify urgency instead of accepting “we’re interested” as an answer.
It’s a qualification checklist, not a conversation trainer. It tells a rep the Impact is undefined; it doesn’t teach the discovery skill that gets a buyer to say a real number out loud. And SPICED stops at the Decision — it has nothing to say about negotiation, multithreading a stalled deal, or what happens after signature.
Where Sales Assembly comes in
Qualification and Complex Selling teach the live discovery that surfaces Situation and Pain instead of assuming a rep already knows how to ask. Value Articulation is the skill behind quantifying Impact. Deal Management picks up the Critical Event and carries it through to a Decision instead of letting it slip, and Negotiation covers the ground SPICED doesn’t touch at all.

Overview of having no formal methodology
If qualification at your company lives in a CRM field a rep fills in from memory, you don’t have a methodology — you have a habit. That’s common at growth-stage companies that scaled faster than their process, and it’s not a crisis. It’s just untracked risk sitting in the forecast.
The instinct is to go buy a framework. That’s often premature — a full methodology rollout is a six-figure decision, a consultant, and six months before anyone can tell if it worked. And a framework laid over a team with no underlying skill produces compliance, not performance: filled-in fields, same win rate.
Where Sales Assembly comes in
Skills come first, framework later if you still need one. All 14 certifications apply here, because there’s no existing structure to work around or defer to — this is the one case where Sales Assembly is the whole system, not the overlay.
